چکیده
In this paper, we introduce the concept of 3-D radar signatures in a slow time-range-Doppler, fast timerange-Doppler and frequency-range-Doppler. Then, we describe how to utilize 3-D time or frequency-rangeDoppler signatures to extract information for detecting, relocating and re-focusing moving targets. Finally, we use AN/APY-6 X-band radar data for the demonstration of ground moving target detection.

Analytical and Experimental Comparisons Between the Frequency-Modulated-Frequency-Shift Measurement and the Pulsed-Wave-Time-Shift Measurement Doppler Systems
In previous publications, a new echo-ranging Doppler system based on transmission of repetitive coherent frequency-modulated ͑FM͒ sinusoids in two different implementations was presented. One of these implementations, the frequency-modulated–frequency-shift measurement ͑FM–fsm͒ Doppler system is, in this paper, compared with its pulsed-wave counterpart, the pulsed-wave– time-shift measurement ͑PW–ts...
متن کاملAn Efficient Method of Doppler Parameter Estimation in Time-frequency Domain for a Moving Object from Spaceborne High-resolution X-band Sar Data
Velocity retrieval of a moving object from recorded signals by a single-channel SAR is a difficult task. To retrieve a velocity of moving object, it is necessary to estimate the speeds of the object in two dimensions of range and azimuth. Both azimuth and range (or antenna line-of-sight) component of target moving motion changes the Doppler phase history of the moving object in comparison with ...
متن کاملFast Pulse Doppler Radar Processing Accounting for Range Bin Migration
An airborne pulse Doppler radar depends on a combination of range selectivity and velocity selectivity to detect targets in ground cluttsr. In principle clutter sensitivity can be reduced by employing higher bandwidths for greater range resolution. However at a sufficiently high bandwidth the phenomenon of range bin migration occurs which precludes the use of conventional Doppler processing. He...
متن کاملMicro-Doppler Effect Analysis and Feature Extraction in ISAR Imaging With Stepped-Frequency Chirp Signals Citation
The micro-Doppler (m-D) effect induced by the rotating parts or vibrations of the target provides a new approach for target recognition. To obtain high range resolution for the extraction of the fine m-D signatures of an inverse synthetic aperture radar target, the stepped-frequency chirp signal (SFCS) is used to synthesize the ultrabroad bandwidth and reduce the requirement of sample rates. In...
متن کاملCompensation of Doppler Effect in Direct Acquisition of Global Positioning System using Segmented Zero Padding
Because of the very high chip rate of global positioning system (GPS), P-code acquisition at GPS receiver will be challenging. A variety of methods for increasing the probability of detection and reducing the average time of acquisition have been provided, among which the method of Zero Padding (ZP) is the most essential and the most widely used. The method using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT...
